15th Annual Sun National Bank Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational October 1
United Way of Atlantic County has announced a date for their signature fall fundraiser, the Sun National Bank Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational. The event will take place Friday, October 1, 2010 at Red Wing Sporting Clays Range in Pomona and Seaview, A Dolce Resort, in Galloway. Proceeds from the event will benefit the programs and services of United Way of Atlantic County. The event is presented by The Press of Atlantic City.

The daylong Invitational, which pairs a trip to the sporting clays range with a full round of golf, has served as one of the area’s most unique charity sporting events since its inception in 1996. To date, the event has raised nearly $1.1 million for the community and continues to draw sporting enthusiasts from around the region. The Thomas J. Kuhar Founder’s Award is also presented during the event to recognize a local individual or organization for an exceptional commitment to serving the community.

Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational






This year the honoree will be the Men and Women of the U.S. Military, Past and Present. Air Force Col. Gina Grasso, commander of the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) will accept the prestigious Thomas J. Kuhar Founder's Award on behalf of the U.S. Armed Forces during the event.

An exciting new addition to this year’s format is the opportunity to sponsor a member of the U.S. Military to participate in the full day’s activities. Platinum sponsors of the event will have the option of inviting either a local military person of their choosing or an active member that is currently serving at one of the military bases in our region, the National Guard or Reserves that United Way will coordinate on the company’s behalf. These individuals will be recognized during the dinner reception as part of the presentation of the Founder’s Award.

Group A: 18 Holes of Golf, 50 Sporting Clays
$1,800 per foursome; $500 per person
(Tax deductible portion: foursome-$800, per person-$250)

$250 per person (Tax deductible portion: $100)

Participants who wish to shoot sporting clays for both sessions should contact the United Way office.

Participation Package
Continental breakfast (Group A only), round-trip transportation between Seaview and Red Wing Sporting Clays Range, greens fees, cart fees, range balls, welcome gift, sporting clays range fees, all ammunition, on-course refreshments, luncheon, elaborate hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and awards reception. Shotgun to be supplied if needed.
