| Unlimited rides on Family Fun Day August 30 |
| Galloway, N.J., - Enjoy unlimited rides as part of United Way’s Family Fun Day at Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, N.J., Monday, August 30 from 1-5 pm. This 6th annual fundraising event benefits the programs of Success By 6®, an early childhood initiative coordinated by United Way of Atlantic County. With the purchase of a $20 wristband, available at any ticket booth or the customer service center on August 30, children of all ages are invited to enjoy unlimited rides on any of the Pier’s multi-level amusements. From the Carousel to the Monorail to the Tilt -A- Whirl to the Runaway Train Coaster, Wonderland Pier has a ride sure to satisfy all those seeking fun and adventure for the day. Fifty percent of the proceeds go directly to United Way’s Success By 6®. The Pier is located at 6th Street on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Wristbands cannot be purchased in advance of August 30. Success By 6®, an initiative of the United Way of Atlantic County, is leading an effort to create a web of services within our community to make a positive impact on the lives of children ages 0-6. Success By 6® is a community-wide early childhood initiative that brings together resources from a partnership of individuals from businesses, education, health care, government, media, and service organizations who share the common vision of having children ready to succeed when they enter school. Success By 6® has built a unique collaboration of child-serving agencies in Atlantic County to focus its immediate attention on pediatric dental health, prenatal care, parenting skills, early literacy, and improving immunization rates. The goal of Success By 6® is to ensure that infants and preschool children become prepared for school and life-emotionally, socially, medically, and educationally. It is the largest early childhood movement in the country and the most recognized United Way initiative. Ongoing programs coordinated by Success By 6® include Raising a Reader, First Book, Born Learning, Healthy Smiles and a Kindergarten Readiness Calendar.
