SUN NATIONAL BANK GOLF & SPORTING CLAYS INVITATIONAL SET RECORD “When I set the goal at one million dollars, it seemed as though we might not ever achieve it,” said Thomas J. Kuhar, founder of the Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational and Founder’s Award namesake. “Now that we have, there are many people who should share in the gratification that comes from reaching such a milestone. I am proud of the team that has supported this event over the years, and even more proud of what that million dollars has done for our local community.” “Each year’s event is special because the money we raise goes back to individuals and families right here in our local communities,” said Bart A. Speziali, executive vice president at Sun National Bank, the event’s naming partner. “This year certainly was extra special because we broke that million dollar threshold, but also because we have proven this event’s longevity and that participants recognize it as a venue to give back year after year.” About the Event The Invitational was held on Friday, October 10, 2008. Golf and event festivities were held at the Seaview Resort and Spa, A Marriott Resort, in Galloway, NJ, and the sporting clays competition was held at Red Wing Sporting Clays Range in Port Republic, NJ. This year’s Thomas J. Kuhar Founder’s Award Winner was Michael Azeez, co-founder of UNITEL.
